Frode’s Norwegian trio was on tour and for the London concert he suggested that Paul Rutherford, Louis and myself join them to form a double trio.
Frode and Louis came over to my place the day before and we made a recording: released as Quiddity
Unfortunately the following morning I had a call from Paul to say that he was unwell and would not be able to play. Nine months later, in the same venue, I was playing at his memorial concert.
This music is dedicated to the missing third man, Paul Rutherford.
